MG 2009 Bewerley Park, Pateley Bridge
MG 2009, organised by Harrogate MG Club, was held in Bewerley Park at Pateley Bridge. After terrible weather on the Saturday Bewerley Park looked at its best on the Sunday, a natural amphitheatre, bathed in sunshine it must be one of the prettiest spots in the country to host such an event. Literally hundreds of MGs were there with over 50 entries in the Concours and Condition competitions provided a wonderful sight for MG enthusiasts and members of the public alike.
We fielded seven cars, six of us rendezvoused at Skip Bridge, Pete having gone on ahead to enter the Concours competition. More of this later.

All marques of classic cars were represented but MGs of course were predominant and it was lovely to see so many pristine ‘T’ types

It was a great day out with lots to see, do and buy!
The club was successful with two of our members winning coveted prizes. Derek won (we don’t know how!) an envied can of chicken soup. This was deservedly surpassed by our Chairman winning, at his first attempt, an engraved glass trophy for 1st in Class MGBGTV8.
