The Spring run to Liverton
Sunday 17th April dawned clear and chilly but with clear signs of the warm sunny weather to come during the day.
Thirteen cars met at the ‘Dogwalkers’ car park at Strensall ready for a noon departure.

Tony led the convoy towards Flaxton and then up Bulmer Bank to Slingsby continuing northwards through Normanby to Lastingham. We continued, in beautiful sunshine, to Rosedale Abbey and then up on to the moors. Surprisingly the convoy had remained intact much to the dismay of kind drivers who pulled into a passing place to allow Tony through. What they hadn’t bargained for were the twelve other classic cars in close formation right behind Tony!
Our arrival at the Water Wheel on a busy Sunday lunchtime called for some very imaginative parking but eventually we all managed to find a spot and get into the pub for a well earned drink. The substantial meal from the Carvery was enjoyed by all.

Thanks to Tony for an enjoyable run that let us see North Yorkshire at its best.
